The newly built
detached Elounda Bay Villas are open all year round and run by an
English couple (who live next door), sleep 6 and contains, a
lounge/diner, a modern fully fitted kitchen, 3 or 4 bedrooms, a
bathroom, a large sun terrace with barbecue and a exclusive swimming
pool.
The entire villa grounds have absolutely staggering
views over The Bay of Mirabello, a scene which is far more beautiful
than any picture can show and needs to be seen to be
appreciated.
Your holiday villa is surrounded to the right,
left and rear, by the horseshoe shape of the very pretty Oxa
Mountains. Where the mountains finish on the left, you see one of
the exits to the Mediterranean Sea, Spinalonga Island and then, following
round to the right, Khola Keitha island, the causeway out to the main island and in the
distance, the coast at Mochlos.

The villas are located
a 7 – 8 minute drive from the village of Elounda, which
although attractively small, offers a good selection of shops
where you can purchase anything from a clothes peg, to a car
tyre, a delicious “knickerbocker glory” or a ticket for the
boat trip to the fascinating island of
Spinalonga.
Scattered around the gorgeous harbour in
Elounda are a variety of Kafenion’s and Taverna’s, where you
can sit in the shade, sipping your coffee, fruit juice or Raki
and watch the fishermen beavering away on their boats,
cleaning their catch or mending their nets.
The very
friendly staff at the Taverna’s, almost all of whom speak excellent
English, will tempt you with an amazing choice of foods, from
simple beans on toast, to a multi course Meze’s meal, or a
nice Swordfish steak with Greek salad, plus more exotic drinks
than you could shake a stick at. |
